Week One : Campus & Community Engagement

Introduction This weeks topic was about campus & community engagement. We learned about all of the wonderful opportunities and resources the university offers to ensure we get the most out of our college experience. A few of these include the FYE Success Series, FYE Resources, and Mentoring. We also discussed what "engage" really means to us and how college isn't just about school and obtaining a degree. In order to have a successful college experience you must stand out, network, get engaged, and take time to fully understand yourself . Most of us in the class are extremely lucky to be able to live in the honors LLC. This opportunity allows us to make close connections to other students with the same academic goals and outlooks. In class we watched a Tedtalk about making the most off college and assure that your degree is most beneficial. Hello! My name is Tonilynn (Toe-Knee-Linn)Holtz! I am originally from Reno, Nevada, but I've lived in Chickamuaga, Georgia for most of my life. I am a Mathematics and Physics double major.
